About AN
The military and aerospace 37° flare that motorsport fuel, oil and coolant plumbing is built on. AN fittings share the 37° seat and UNF thread sizes with JIC, so a -6 AN mates with a -6 JIC, but the threads are held to the tighter class 3A and 3B. Usually 6061 aluminum, anodized red, blue or black.
AS4395, MS33656 37° flare (AN). Seals by: 37° flare metal seat, class 3a/3b thread.
About BSPP
British parallel pipe thread. The threads do not seal on their own, so a bonded washer, ED ring or O ring seals against the port face. Standard on European and Asian hydraulic pumps, valves and machinery.
ISO 228-1, ISO 1179. Seals by: bonded washer or ed seal.

What pressure is an AN to BSPP adapter rated for?
It depends on the size and material. In 6061-t6 aluminum, the common sizes on this page are rated from 900 to 2,250 psi, set by the lower rated end. The builder shows the exact rating for your part, including a wall thickness check.
